My lifetime focus of study has remained constant in understanding the
complex human behavior of people of all ages, backgrounds,
across cultures, throughout history and particularly on individual
differences. Why we do, what we do and what gets in our way to move on in our
lives, to live more full and productive lives. The answers to these questions
are different for every human being. My professional
background experience spans over 30 years of working with large
groups of people of all ages in a variety of social environments, as
well as, individually. My work with people has included celebrating some of the happiest
meaningful times in people’s lives and everything in between to the
sadder more tragic times. To be trusted and allowed into peoples private
and personal lives at times when they are most vulnerable is a most profound
privilege and indeed humbling. This privilege fosters a respectful response
for the necessity of continual education.
My dual professional career first began, receiving my B.A. in World History from
Aquinas College (Grand Rapids, Michigan), followed by receiving my Masters in
Divinity (M.Div.) in Theology, Scripture & Spirituality from St. John’s Provincial
Seminary (Plymouth, MI). My postgraduate studies began at Aquinas College, with
course work in understanding the dynamics of Group Behavior and Communication to
Large Organizations. This simultaneously led to my enrolling in the
University of Michigan
(Ann Arbor, MI), where I continued my studies in Group Organization, Teams, and Behavior &
Leadership. I continued at the University of Michigan, and began my course work in
Biopsychology, Neuropsychology, Cognitive, Developmental, Organizational, Social,
Abnormal Psychology, Child Psychopathology & the Psychology of Attention.
I received my M.S. degree in Clinical Psychology from
Madonna University (Livonia, MI).
I then enrolled in the Michigan Psychoanalytic Institute (Farmington Hills, MI),
beginning in the Fellowship Program, and then followed by Adult Psychoanalytic
Psychotherapy Educational Program.
